Almost all of the sculptures in Oslo's Frogner Park (there are approximately 150) are by Gustav Vigeland. This is just one of them and is located on the eastern side and eastern end of the central bridge.
It depicts a lifesized naked young woman (perhaps 18 year-old) standing and stretching her arms behind her head- as if she were just waking up. She has two pigtails that come down to her breasts.
Unfortunately, none of Vigeland's works have placards which inform us of a title for the piece...and the poster of this Waymark was unable to find a catologue online. The name of the Waymark will be amended if additional information comes forth indicating the work's true title.
Vigeland constructed the sculptures from 1924 to 1944...but again, there is no information at the site about each individual piece's date.
