About 300 feet south of the corner of Peachtree Center Ave NE and Baker Street NE, a female lion statue (of a pair of abstract lions) sits upon the black granite base forming the south end of the stairway up to the Marguis Two Tower entrance. The street address for the Marquis Two Tower is 285 Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. This abstract female lion figure was created from roughly formed bronze shaped into a large feline/lion shape. On the tail of the lion is the sculptor's name and date created, along with the name and city of the founder used. The sculptor signed "O Strebelle 1987" in a script. The founder's name and city, De Andreis Milano, is printed following the 1987 date of the sculpture.
The lion is about 13 feet long, 5 feet high, and 6 feet across.
There are three other lions found in similar positions on this block. This female and one more male lion are in front of the Marquis Two Tower and another pair of lion statues are in front of the Marquis One Tower.
