The final resting place of Amanda Crawford is at the east side of Fairlawn Cemetery, just a few feet east of the road. hers is a flat, light reddish marker with flowers etched into the bottom center.

1925: The Chrysler Corporation is founded by Walter Percy Chrysler.
1935: The great dust storm, made famous by Woody Guthrie in his "dust bowl ballads", hits eastern New Mexico and Colorado, and western Oklahoma the hardest.
1945: A group of United States Marines reach the top of Mount Suribachi on the island and are photographed raising the American flag. The photo, Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima (taken by Joe Rosenthal), later wins a Pulitzer Prize.
