The walk to the top of the rock is not difficult at all and can be achieved by young and old alike. The view from the top is stunning.
Access to the Reserve is via Jan Philips Drive opposite the KWV headquarters in Paarl Main Road. Follow the signs to the rock and park under the two large rocks namely Bretagne on the left and Gordon on the right.
Sometimes the gate to the reserve is manned and an entrance fee might be required to be paid.
Visit Instructions:We don't require you to provide any specific proof of your visit, but we do request that you upload photos if possible, the more the merrier.
Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
