The 1907 photo above was taken from the old train station looking up Church Street towards Trinity Methodist Church.

The view today is quite different. A parking garage now stands where the train station used to be. Trinity Methodist Church burned in a spectacular fire in January 1923. A new church building (now Trinity United Methodist Church) was constructed at the end of Church Street to replace it.
