Near the joining of Cliff Drive and Montecito Street is a stairway that leads uphill to the Santa Barbara City College.

This stairway looks like a convenient way for college commuters to get off the bus and climb to classes at Santa Barbara City College. A bike parking area at the bottom also enables bicycle commuters to climb to classes as well. The stairway has nice view of Santa Barbara, looking to the the east.

About 10 stairs from the top, this stairway merges with another longer stairway coming from Pershing Park. The merge point near the top is at N 34 24.48, W 119 41.89.
