This immaculately restored '29 Mopar is a model 65. It is powered by a 195 C.I. 6 cylinder flathead engine with 7 main bearings and pressure lubrication throughout. The bore and stroke are 3 1/8 X 4 1/4 and it produced 65 HP.
It came with a three speed transmission and 1.5" X 14" hydraulic brakes all around. Engine and transmission were a single unit. Different models had different differentials, and the 4 door sedan was equipped with a 4.9 to 1 rear end. It ran on 5.25 X 5.5 X 18 inch tires and included dual sidemount spares. The tires were mounted on wood wheels with demountable rims. To reduce steering play it used an adjustable worm and sector steering gear.
Interior appointments included ashtrays, arm rests and blinds.
For the gearheads amongst us, the WDM has an extensive collection of agricultural implements, tractors, both steam and gasoline, and carriages, cars and trucks. It's pretty easy to spend a whole day wandering around this museum, and well worth the time.
