On July 17, 1960, a new Marshfield Public Library was dedicated. It is located near the northeast corner of East Second Street and South Maple Avenue.

From 1901 to 1960 the Marshfield Public Library was located in the former city hall building now known as the Tower Hall on the south west corner of East second Street and South Maple Avenue. Della Ellinwood was the first librian for the new Marshfield Public Library in the City Hall building.
A collection of 140 species of Wisconsin birds that were collected and mounted by John Stierle can be found on diplay in the Beebee Forum Room.
