This NHL sized arena is part of Castlegar's recreational complex, which includes an indoor swimming pool, fitness rooms and meeting, banquet and convention rooms and a seniors' centre.

Officially opened on September 11, 1976, the whole complex still looks new, which must be a testament to the level of maintenance, as it certainly isn't because of lack of use.
Open as an ice surface from August - March, the arena dry floor is available for conventions, circuses, exhibitions and trade shows from April through July. The 1050 seat arena's facilities include 5 dressing rooms, referees room and a large concession in the foyer. The Complex is home to the KIJHL Junior B Castlegar Rebels. Another "Home of Champions", the arena is decorated with many banners proclaiming past championships for hockey teams of all ages.
