This tabletop with a Pelican mosaic in the center is located in a picnic area on the slope above the north side of Fletcher Cove Park at the west end of Plaza Street, just west of downtown Solana Beach, California.

The pelican is made up of larger, specially crafted mosaic pieces while the background is the more traditional smaller mosaic pieces. There is no indication anywhere as to who was the artist nor when the mosaic was constructed. It is a nice change from the bland, plain tabletop normally encountered on picnic outings.
