The card was one of a set of four cards showing cityscapes of New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The stamp on this particular card shows the Manhattan skyline from under the span of the Queensboro bridge.

This bridge was first opened in 1909 and is colloquially known as the 59th St. bridge (as in the title of the famous Paul Simon song). Recently it was renamed the Ed Koch Queensboro bridge.
