In Dedham's Oakdale Square section is the New Generation Christian Center, which is in a building that has a dated cornerstone of 1907.

The church is located at the intersection of Oakdale Ave and Fairview Street, at the southeast corner of the intersection. The cornerstone is located at the base of the square stone tower, not far from the entrance, about 2 feet from the ground.

The church building was previously occupied by a methodist church, which may have built the structure in the first place. A note on the St. Stephens United Methodist Church of West Roxbury web site states that St. John's Church merged with their church in April of 2011. The present organization must have occupied this church since then.
Year of construction: 1907
