In 1729 the Augustine monks moved from Münnerstadt, a town in the district of Bad Kissingen in Bavaria, to Wiesloch. The architect Johann Schmidt from Königshofen moved with them and started building the baroque church 1745. The style of the church is Rococo inside and outside.
1729 zogen die Augustinermöchne vom fränkischen Münnerstadt nach Wiesloch, um ein Hospiz zu gründen. der Baumeister Johann Schmidt aus Königshofen kam mit ihnen und begann 1745 mit dem Bau der Barockkirche. Der Baustil und das Innere ist Rokoko.
