Brilliant Cemetery is located north of Castlegar on Hwy. 3. The cemetery is on the left side of the road at the junction of Trubetskoff Road and Popoff Road.

Brilliant Cemetery was established in 1908 by the Christian Community of Universal Brotherhood to serve the Brilliant settlement area.
After the demise of the CCUB in 1937-1939, the cemetery continued to be used by its successor organization, the Union of Spiritual Communities of Christ. It is still in active use today. It is owned and maintained by the USCC Cemetery Association.
The cemetery is approximately five acres in size and contains approximately 1,155 interments in a single section comprised of 28 rows facing east-west. Almost half of the graves (550) have no marker and the mounds have been leveled.
Brilliant Cemetery is a traditional Doukhobor cemetery and many of the headstones are in Russian. Some of the markers have the symbol of water, salt and bread: The Essence of Life.
