The town of Mšeno stands guard over the Protected Landscape Area Kokorínsko (CHKO Kokorínsko), lying on its eastern border, on the boundary of the Melník, Mladá Boleslav and Ceská Lípa Countys. The Kokorín region is a sylvan land, abundant in rock formations, glens and romantic corners and thus it is no wonder that its particularly attractive landscape and pristine environment make it a frequently sought-after location. The numerous chateaus and fortified castles scattered in the region draw a great deal of tourist attraction as a result of the accessible dense cobweb of footpaths and cycle trails taking you not only to the castles but also offering some impressive views of wooden architecture in good repair.
The new town hall was built in 1842. In 1864, was rebuilt and increased in neo-Gothic style. It now houses the Town Council, a small museum and information center.
