Salmo is home to many stone murals celebrating the history and natural beauty of the area.

Salmo Community Services building has this grand elk on the south side. If you listen very carefully, you can almost hear his bugle ringing out in the brisk morning air.

Elk are very plentiful in the Salmo area. Often times you can see them crossing the road.

This mosaic mural was constructed by the Kootenay Stone Masonry Institute.
