According to Wikipedia, Ramer, Tn is a small town in McNairy County, Tennessee.
Ramer had a population of 367; a land area of 1.71 sq. miles; a water area of 0 sq. miles; and a population density of 214.87 people per sq. mile according to the US Census Bureaue estimate of July 1, 2009.
The governing body meets 4th. Monday at 7:00 PM. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The city limit of the Town follow it length on both sides of the main highway state 57. The Town was incorporation on 02/01/1958. The Ramer Baptist Church was established in 1911. The town have several Churces, Schools, a volunteer fire department, a restaurant, a city park and a ball park and a city cemetery.
These towns along the Mobil & Ohio Railroad, started out being called stations, as Ramer Station.
Ramer was about 20 miles from Shiloh and there was several skirmishes in the area.
John son of Jim RAMER mar. about 1800, wife Elizabeth LAMBERT, father John Alen. Dutch, came to U.S. before Civil War. Jim made shoes for the "Army boys". Elizabeth is on the 1830 Census, McNairy TN Page 133. Town of Ramer, TN is named after them. It is also said that they gave the land for the railroad.
