The following historical information was obtained from the church's website (visit link)

Services were held in the home of Walter Grice, a Primitive Methodist until the erection by subscription of a substantial slab and shingle church in 1870 on the site of the present Memorial Hall. Regular services were held there and the building was also the site of Bundanoon's first school.

In 1885 a new church and Sunday School was built in Church Street, a little further up the hill, and this is the fine weatherboard church which still stands today.

Wesleyan Methodists also joined this congregation where services were conducted by local preachers, and later visiting ministers from Bowral and Moss Vale. Local Presbyterians also worshipped in the church (until they built a separate church in the 1960s). With the formation of the Uniting Church of Australia in 1977 Methodists, some Presbyterians and Congregationalists joined together in worship - the basis of the community of the Bundanoon church today. To celebrate its centenary, the church buildings were upgraded and modernised in the 1980s, retaining the clear and beautiful lines of the building, but making it more accessible and easier to maintain.

Over the years the Bundanoon church has been host to Sunday Schools, youth groups, choirs and women's fellowships.

The church itself has been beautified over the years with the installation of stained glass windows and stone fences in the 1940s - and more recently, the upgrading of the historic cemetery beside the church into a beautiful and peaceful Memorial Garden and columbarium - a gift to the people of Bundanoon and the Highlands by our three worship communities.
