Our well-stocked lake, including trophy-size fighters, is handicap accessible with easy walk-on access. Reindeer also live at Grandma & Grandpa's Fishing Pond. These unique and friendly animals enjoy visitors and love children. They have such friendly, adorable personalities and would love to visit with you. So come on by anytime to visit these unique and interesting animals.
Rustic mountain log cabins are available for those wanting to extend their stay and take in the natural beauty of this area of the Rocky Mountains.
At 14,240 feet, Mount Evans is within a few minute's drive via The Mount Evans Scenic Byway – the highest paved automobile road in the United States. Often called The Road into the Sky, this breathtaking drive climbs from 8,700 feet at Idaho Springs, passes by the Trout Pond at 4 miles, and ascends another 10 miles up to the summit of Mount Evans over 14,000 feet. All this in a mere 14 miles!
After taking in spectacular views and the Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep that greet you at the top, return to Grandma & Grandpa's Fishing Pond for a relaxing evening of fishing fun and stargazing. Nearby Idaho Springs also offers a variety of services, shopping, and entertainment.

Rules include:
1. Use nets to land all fish.
2. Put fish on a steel stringer. Use steel stringers only.
3. Weigh and measure fish before gutting or price will be doubled.
4. Use barbed hooks only.
5. No fishing between bears.
6. No feeding the reindeer.
7. No smoking inside fence.
8. NO PETS/DOGS ALLOWED.
9. No catch and release. $30 fine for each fish released.
10. We have the right to check all cooler boxes, etc., at any time.
