Just south of Cranberry, PA is an access point for the Sandy Creek rails-to-trail conversion.

The Jamestown, Franklin and Clearfield Railroad, built in 1905-1911, once ran through here for freight and passengers until the service was stopped in the 1980s. Around 2000-2005, the rail bed was paved with an asphalt strip and the bridge railings installed. A nice bike ride out and back with several bridge crossings of Sandy Creek and a long tunnel.
This access point is 2.5 miles south of US322. The trail goes under the Cranberry-Rockland Road. Parking available for dozen vehicles.
