Manchester's Soldiers Monument occupies a prominent location in Center park at the intersection of Route 6 (center Street) and Route 83 (Main Street) in the downtown area.
An 8' high by 1.5' wide bronze figure of a Union soldier stands on a 7.75' by 7' square, rough-cut, granite base. It was dedicated on dedicated September 17, 1877.

His left foot is forward and he is holding a rifle vertically by the barrel with his hands are right over left. The rifle butt is resting on the ground near his right foot.
