Owner-designer Richard Schuler completed construction of this $100,000 apartment building in 1925, making this the first apartment complex in Southern Oregon to designed to a specific period, in this case the "Mission Style" popularized in California. The building has also been known as the GeBauer Apartments after Max and Myrtle GeBauer, who purchased the building in 1928, and as the Rosehill Apartments during the 1960s.
