This bell, over the gate to Namao United Church was erected in 1981 as a tribute to the pioneers of Sturgeon. The church and bell are located at the intersection of Highway 37 and 28A in Namao, Alberta.

Sturgeon County, north of Edmonton, Alberta is an agricultural community with a growing urban, rural acreage base of people that commute to and from Edmonton. Sturgeon County has almost 20,000 residents with Namao being the smallest hamlet.
