Ione Rest area is beautifully located along Upper Arrow Lake.
The real highlight is Ione Falls. It is a 60-foot high waterfall conveniently located in the rest area. Expect to get wet from the spray at the base of the waterfall when the water flow is high.
There are picnic tables, hiking trails and an outdoor privy. It is well maintained, but be watchful of bear in the area.
