Marker Name: First National Bank
Marker Text: Built by famed Central Oregon builder, Ole. K. Olson, this structure is best known as the home of U.S. National Bank, which resided here from 1937 to 1973. The building was the second bank to be constructed in the city in 1919. The four unusual colums on the 6th Street facade have elements of an Egyptian theme, which was popular for commercial buildings for a short time in the late teens. The modern rear wing was added in the late 1940s.
