This experiment explores how the angle of a solar panel effects the amount of light that may be converted to electricity. The fountain, sadly, was turned off for the winter. This experiment is available from roughly April (after the last hard freeze) to late September (start of the first hard freeze) and works best in the daylight [grin-wink].
Scientific Principle(s) being demonstrated: Angle of a solar panel to be most efficient to use the suns rays to convert to electricity.
Briefly explain if the experiment was effective for you. Could it have been better?: It is really interesting to see how just a few degrees of angle effect the efficiency of the solar panel.
When is the apparatus/experiment available to the public: This experiment is available from roughly April (after the last hard freeze) to late September (start of the first hard freeze), Monday through Friday and works best in the daylight [grin-wink].
