The museum is in the town of Uppermill, one of the small towns that makes up the area of Saddleworth.
The outside wall holds the clock face, and the workings of the clock are on the inside of this converted old mill. If you go into the museum you can see the mechanism working, a part of town clocks you never normally get to see.
The clock has a black face with large golden Roman Numerals and hands. Around the edge of the clock are small lines marking the minute divisions, the 5 minute lines being slightly larger.
The opening times are Monday-Friday 1.00pm to 4.00pm, Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm and Sunday 1.00pm to 4.00pm. (Closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day).
The current admission fee is
Adults £2 – Children £1 – Concessions £1
