This bridge, having received an award as the "Most Beautiful Steel Bridge", has a main span of 600 feet and a total length of 1280 feet and is the second highest bridge in the US Highway system.
There are parking areas at each end of the bridge (the one at the east end being the largest by far) plus a highway rest area at the west end that is just a short hike to the bridge. The walkways on the bridge are wide and provide safe access to stupendous views of the 650 foot deep Rio Grande Gorge.
