This beautifully restored caboose is a part of the Old Montana Jail Musuem collection and sits just down the street a few blocks from the old jail. The caboose is on display with two locomotives, with the caboose sitting very close to Interstate 90, and attracting much attention.
This caboose is titled: Milw 992185 Bay Window Caboose
The restored bay window caboose was rescued from demolition in Iowa several years ago by John Satake and Dick Bauman, and it was brought to Deer Lodge. Later, the caboose was restored by employees of Sun Mountain Enterprises and placed on display.
