The Legoland funicular carries guests to/from near the entrance to the lower levels of the park.

The two three-car trains are painted in the three primary colours reflecting the the main colours of the original lego bricks, the red car at the up-hill end, the yellow, and the blue at the bottom-end. The central, yellow, car is reserved for the use of wheelchair and pushchair users with their carers.
There is the usual passing loop at the half-way point but it is provided by having two separate lines along the whole length of the track and cross-overs instead of spring points at either end of the loop. The carriages are open on one side, to prevent arm damage as the trains pass each other, and the train on the 'far side' line has a cantilevered footway to bridge the gap to the platforms. This can be seen on the close-up view.
The track takes guests from/to near the entrance to the area adjacent to the entrance to 'The Land of the Vikings' and the start of the great legoland adventure. It is most popular at the end of a long day of adventure and takes approximately 2min for the journey.
When Windsor Safari Park closed in 1992 this was the only feature which was kept.
