There is a plaque which commemorates this transport collection which reads:

'This exhibition of artifacts & documents entitled
The Wedgwood Electrical Collection
was opened by
Mr John Wedgwood
M.A., F.C.I.S., Comp.I.E.E.
Chairman of
Southern Electricity
on
14th May 1981'

There is also a wooden plaque displaying a pylon and with the date of opening.

Included in the museum is a tramcar (number 85) from the old tramway which was once powered from this old power station, in which the exhibits are housed. Visitors can climb the stairs on both decks to view the tramcar.

A D.O.T. Motor Cycle is displayed which was restored in 1992. It was used by the Scottish & Southern Electric company between 1948 and 1966. D.O.T. was difficult to control and the driver wore protective clothing against the elements. There are only 13 out of 3500 D.O.T.s remaining today.

An old Southern Electricity Service van in dark green lies next to
a Sinclair C5. Whilst above is a Sinclair Zinc electric bicycle.

The Enfield Electric Car is displayed which was in use in 1976. It took 8 hours to charge the car and it could drive 35 to 55 miles on a full battery.

There is an information board describing 'The Electric Car' of history next to a model Nissan Leaf.

There is great emphasis on the old becoming new with a promotion for the Nissan Leaf and sustainable housing.
