Museum of Gordium is located at suburb of modern Yassihüyük in front of Great Tumulus (Midas mound).
"The Gordion Museum displays a fine selection of the thousands of well preserved archaeological finds from the excavations, and offers a broad interpretation of the site’s history. There are also displays around the museum, including mosaics, the stone chamber of a Hellenistic burial-mound (Tumulus O), and specimens of vegetation illustrating Gordion’s ancient environment. Crossing the road to Tumulus MM, a modern tunnel—expertly cut by coal-miners from the Turkish Black Sea town of Zonguldak—gives the visitor access into the burial-mound, where there are display panels and an opportunity to view the remarkably preserved wooden burial chamber with its surrounding casement of juniper logs. Walking down the long tunnel offers a refreshingly cool contrast to the summer’s heat and impresses on the mind just how enormous the burial mound actually is. From the low ridge, on which stand the village and the museum, one can take in a westward-looking panorama of the settlement site on the river plain below: the centrally located Citadel Mound and, on either side of it, the smaller mounds called Küçük Höyük and Kus Tepe—respectively marking the southern and northern ends of the Lower Town. One can also see the many tumuli on the higher ground around the settlement-site."

Gordion müzesi, Ankara'nin Polatli ilçesindedir. Gordion Yassihöyük köyü'ndedir. Gordion'da Kral Midas'in tümülüsü vardir. Ama Kral Midas'in kemikleri alinarak Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi'ne götürülmüstür.
1963 yilinda Ankara'nin Polatli ilçesine bagli Yassihöyük olarak taninan 500 nüfusa sahip küçük bir köyün yaninda kuruldu. Bugün Gordion Müzesi'nde kronolojik bir sergileme sunulmakta, her dönem karakteristik örneklerle temsil edilmektedir. Üç vitrinde Eski Tunç Devri eserleri, bunu takiben Kral Midas ile son bulan Erken Frig Dönemine ait eserler yer almaktadir. Bu eserler içinde Erken Demir Çagina ait el yapimi çanak-çömlekler, Erken Frig Çagina ait Demir aletler, tekstil üretim aletleri sergilenmektedir. Yeni sergi solonunda Panoramik vitrin içinde MÖ 700 yillarina tarihlenen tahrip katina ait tipik bir yapi sergilenmektedir. Yeni salonun geri kalan kisminda MÖ 6 - M.S. 4. yüzyila ait ithal edilmis Yunan seramigi, Hellenistik Çag ve Roma Dönemine ait malzemeler sergilenmektedir. Son bölümde ise ziyaretçiler Gordion'da ele geçen mühür ve sikke örneklerini izleme imkâni bulmaktadirlar.
Son yillarda Gordion Müzesi'nin ziyaretçi sayisindaki büyük artis, burada yeni düzenlemeler yapilmasini gündeme getirmistir. Bu çalismalar içinde 180 m²'lik yeni depo binasi, 150 m²'lik ek teshir salonu, 30 m²'lik laboratuvar ve 35 m²'lik görüntü ile bilgilendirme salonu, 5000 m²'lik yeni açik hava teshir alani yapilarin belli baslilari arasinda sayilabilir.
Yeni kazilan alan Friglerin mobilya yapiminda kullandiklari sedir, kokulu ardiç, simsir, sariçam, ceviz ve porsuk fidanlari ile agaçlandirilmistir. Bu yeni alana nakledilen Roma mozaigi ve Galat Mezari yapilan islerin bir bölümü olarak sayilabilir.
