Bordering along N. Beaver and W. Philadelphia Streets, York Central Market lies one block from the York Square.
Built in 1888, the architecture reflects the design of Romanesque Revial, with its general largeness and stylized roof and windows.
The exterior is constructed of brick in the stretcher bond method. The building architect was John Dempwolf, and the builder was George Yinger.
The structure is in a good state of repairs, and continues to be used as a faarmers market today.
