This crossing sign greets visitors that are returning to the United States after visiting nearby Quebec. It is located on Hwy 3 (Hwy 257 in Quebec) near the Pittsburg, New Hampshire (Chartierville in Quebec) border crossing station.
The sign reads:
"BRAKE
FOR MOOSE
It could save your life
HUNDREDS OF COLLISIONS"
I noted there was another warning sign about moose just a few miles prior to this one; the highway authorities are attempting to impress upon drivers the danger of moose crossing the northern portion of New Hampshire!
