"Branson Missouri has been honoring America’s Veterans, and active duty military personnel and their families for decades. It is part of Branson’s very heartbeat, heritage and culture. The recently dedicated, Veterans Memorial Garden is yet another manifestation of how the Branson community feels about those who have given so much for our country.
Under the guidance of Master Gardner Ben Kinel and with the considerable effort of many of volunteers and benefactors who have given money, land, materials and a lot of hard work, time and effort, the beautiful garden serves as a living tribute to the sacrifices of America’s Veterans, active duty military personnel and their families. Located in the northwest corner of the intersection of Roark Valley Road and State Highway 76 at the traffic signal, the garden is very visible to all those traveling into and out of the Branson Strip on State Highway 76.
Although physically new, the Veterans Memorial Garden is a unique bit of Branson. It represents the Branson tradition of honoring America’s Veterans, but more importantly it serves as a living reminder of the sacrifices made by those Veterans on behalf of our Nation. Although the beauty of the flowers and plantings shown in the picture will change with the seasons, the beauty and honor of what the garden represents will not."
