The exterior is easily recognizable as a Wright design with the Roman arch entrance, horizonally raked brick and signature Cherokee red FLlW tile. Inside is original furniture including display cases, a suspended orb-patterned plastic ceiling, and portholes along the spiral ramp for the illuminated display of merchandise.

When questioned by the owner about the omission of traditional store-front windows on the facade of the building, Wright replied, "We are not going to dump your beautiful merchandise on the street, but create an arch-tunnel of glass, into which the passers-by may look and be enticed. As they penetrate further into the entrance, seeing the shop inside with its spiral ramp and tables set with fine china and crystal, they will suddenly push open the door, and you've got them."

The shop is currently Xanadu Galley by Folk Art International. While interior photography is not allowed, good exterior shots may be taken from the street especially in the early morning or late afternoon.

This is one of 17 structures designed by Frank Lloyd Wright designated by the American Institute of Architects (AIA)to be retained as an example of his architectural contribution to American culture.
