This museum is located inside the Ho Chi Minh City zoo, to the left (upon entry) from the main entrance. Unfortunately, the museum was closed when I visited. The museum building is an impressive piece of architecture. Clearly from the French colonial era, 1927 (from wikipedia), though there is no datestone. Based upon the chart of the Museum, the Museum displays the history of Vietnam and surrounding countries, from the pre-historic onwards to the pre-French period. I am unsure of the entry cost, but I would assume in the vicinity of $1.
