Julia Graff Home
As a widow Julia Roulet Graff contracted to have this home built during World War I (1914-1918). It was built in memory of her husband, Emil Graff who died at age 34 (1897). The home has high ceilings to keep the living area cooler. Outside doors with screens were provided for the bedrooms for cooler nights and fire safety. This home was the first one in St. George to have transoms and closets. Julia lived here until her death at age 97 (1960).
