This is a new museum, constructed for the millennial celebrations of Hanoi City (1010-2010). It contains a plethora of exhibits, principally artefacts from Hanoi's one thousand years of existence. Entry is free, and the museum is something of a tourist attraction in its own right. The museum is also a popular photograph subject. The museum building is in the shape of an inverted pyramid, and at night it is lit with coloured lights. However, internally, there is a strict no photography policy. The museum is a significant distance from the city centre/tourist areas of the city. There is public transport available, but I am unsure of the details. I could not find a website for the museum.
