This 288 foot (88 m) funicular provides visitors an easy way to access the observation platform of the World Famous Horseshoe Curve. The funicular is single-tracked, with the cars passing each other halfway up the slope; the cars are painted to resemble Pennsylvania Railroad passenger cars.
The funicular schedule is every 1/2 hour from 10:30am until 6:00pm. The cars have a 12 passenger limit and additional runs will be made immediately following the current load.
An alternative method of gaining access to the 10 story climb is a 194 step staircase.
The Horseshoe Curve National Historic Site is open as follows:

There is a charge of $6.00 to enter the Horseshoe Curve Historic Site which includes unlimited rides on the funicular.
