The brick classical revival style Lemhi County Courthouse was designed by architect C.C. Rittenhouse. The building was constructed by W.W. Schultz from 1909 to 1910. Most of the building material came from Lemhi County. The granite stones came from Governor George Shoup’s quarry west of Salmon. The bricks were made by local mason, Francis Pollard. The statue of Justice and the stone columns and trim were sculpted by George Oxham of Ogden, Utah.
Building was placed on National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
