The Miller House

This house & cabin were built at the turn of the century by Robert E. Miller, First supervisor of the Teton National Forest. In 1915 the Fish and Wildlife Service purchased the building and 1240 Acres as the nucleus for the National Elk Refuge in an effort to preserve elk winter range in Jackson Hole. Through the efforts of the Teton County Historical Society, the house was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1969.
