Holy Trinity Cemetery is located just west of the junction of N.W. Expressway (Hwy. 3) and State Highway 81, south of Okarche. This is a lovely cemetery with a paved walkway leading to a four foot high granite base with a crucifix and statues of two mourners (most likely Mary and John). Many of the headstones here have crosses at the top.
Anna's headstone is shared by her husband, who passed away in 1982 at the age of 89. The granite stone has the surname DETERMAN at the top, with a separate panel for Anna and Herman. A cross is engraved on the stone. Anna was born April 4, 1895 and passed away October 12, 1997.
There are approximately 1000 gravesites here, and as you walk around you will notice the greatest percentage of people were of German descent.

* Anna was thirty the year John Scopes was arrested for teaching evolution in a Tennessee school.
