ZAPL is part of the Butler County Library System, the Library here was established in 1919, while the current building was dedicated in 1975.
The library's collection includes over 60,000 items including books, videos, audios, compact discs, magazines and puppets and CD-ROM's.
There are computers for surfing the internet, word processing and print shop projects
The library has a special collection, The Judy Cinci Peffer Collection, for use by educators of elementary and preschool children. The collection includes puppets, stamps, flannelboards and story aprons.
The library also has a story quilt collection began in 2002. There are fifteen quilts available, along with the accompanying book. The quilts were made by the Tri-County Quilters who donated them to the Library.
The lower level houses our expanded children’s area, the Jennifer Adham Memorial Children’s Library.
