Quarry owners built a demo project at this site to show local businessmen how quartzite could be cut to fit around door & window frames in various types of building construction.
Two large boxelder trees have succeeded in sharing this space and spreading the stones with their vigorous growing force. The window frames have also been displaced from their original positions.
