The USGS gauge for the Trinity River at Dallas is located just a few feet north of the Overlook Park at the intersection of the Commerce Street viaduct and Beckley street.
When the river is up, there is a very good chance that you will get to visit with the USGS guys, who are always happy to show off the equipment inside and explain the other equipment they use the measure stream flows.
