DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1930 (RWW) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE LARGE, RED-STONE PEDESTAL BASE SUPPORTING THE STATUE OF LIBERTY.
01/01/1985 by USPSQD (GOOD)
RECOVERY NOTE BY US POWER SQUADRON 1985 (HGG) STATION FOUND GOOD. ISLAND NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO LIBERTY ISLAND. AREA IS NOW BEING REBUILT AND WILL BE COMPLETED 1986.
