St. Wenceslas Monument, the Patron of the Bohemian country, was created by the famous sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek. The monument has served as a meeting landmark since it was raised. Just portrait of the statue was used by as a main motif of 5000 Czech Crowns banknote. Its author was Jindra Schmidt. The banknote was issued during World War II, when Czechoslovakia was occupied by Nazis. The Nazi Germany established in the central parts of Bohemia, Moravia and Czech Silesia so called "Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia". The banknote was issued on February 1944 and it was valid from August 1944 to October 1945.
