Sitting in front of the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau building, a rest stop off of Interstate 86, you'll find this Equatorial sundial. It sits upon a decorated pillar. The dial is made of metal and consists of 3 rings, one outer, two inner forming a globe. Across middle of the globe is an arrow. Inscribed on either side of the the outer ring, though a little hard to read with weathering is:
"Make time, save time while time lasts, all time is no time when time is past"
On the inside of the diagonal inner ring are inscribed Roman Numerals.
Sundial Type: Equatorial - plate in plane of equator
