This station was opened around 1995 when the wolverine route was expanded. Before it would start and terminate In detroit. It consists of 2 bus like shelters that have working heat in the winter. This station is served by 6 trains a day. 3 going to Chicago and 3 Going to Pontiac. Royal oak is the 2nd stop from Pontiac which is the starting and ending point of the run. The entire trip takes about 6 hours to go from Pontiac to Chicago.The station is equipped with a wheelchair lift and is wheelchair accessible.
